Day 1, Sunday, October 25: An aunt who fought and fought and fought for her nieces. DHR gave her the oldest. They denied her the baby. She kept a binder full of complaints, court filings, and letters to DHR, to the governor, and to news outlets. She says not one was answered. She has not seen her younger niece in three years.

Day 2, Tuesday, October 27: Terror in the Bunker, Bibb County, Alabama. At least 10 children, ages 3 to 15, were taken to an underground room in Brent. They were drugged to make them drowsy and compliant, tied to a pole, bound to a bed, or put in a chair. Some were punished with animal shock collars. A teacher reported neglect again and again through the 2023-24 school year, and nothing changed. The question with no public answer yet: how long did DHR know?
These are not ghost stories. They are real children, real families, and real damage, and every one of them happened under a system that was supposed to protect them.
The haunted houses close on November 1. The real one stays open all year.
